Creating a symbol library in Inkscape 0.91

One of the great new features in Inkscape, is the possibility to use libraries. There are a few nice libraries already available on installation, but obviously what you would want, is to add your own libraries.

So here's the folder where you can add your own libraries:

  • Linux: ~/.config/Inkscape/symbols/
  • Windows: C:\Program Files\Inkscape\share\symbols
  • Mac OS: (don't have a Mac... you tell me)

Open Source is like fresh air: it just feels better.

I've been using Linux as my main (and only home) operating system since 2007.

I'm an avid user of Inkscape, GIMP, LibreOffice and FreeCAD. I try to search for open source tools in my professional life too.
Websites are mainly made in Joomla for me. I love tweaking the code and trying to fiddle things together.

Other things I enjoy: Open Hardware (Arduino, Raspberry Pi), Hackerspaces, Rambling about politics
